Straddling the Transportation Public Health Divide at Pro Walk/Pro Bike/Pro Place

I had been doing my Master’s in City Planning at UC Berkeley for a year and feeling like there was something missing. I was interested in the very human elements of transportation planning, more specifically, the very real and perceived safety and security concerns that prevent people from walking, biking and taking transit. No matter how hard I pushed my professors and raised my hand in class, the City Planning field was just not addressing these issues. So, I recently decided to take on a Master’s in Public Health as well as my Master’s in City Planning.
